How long has The Cotswold Casement Company been in business

We were established in 1888, in the small Cotswold town of Moreton-in-Marsh. John H Pye set up in business as a casement maker.

By 1906, John was able to boast a wide range of contracts for his gunmetal, bronze and leaded glazing. From these beginnings, we laid the strong foundation upon which today’s company is based. Throughout the century, ownership of the business changed as the Pye family line passed on, but the traditions of metal window craftsmanship and quality have endured.

In 1957, the company became known as the Cotswold Casement Company – affectionately known locally as ‘Casements’ – and today it is the oldest manufacturing company in the town. As in 1888, we remain in private ownership, providing both personal commitment and a sound financial base.

Because of our vast knowledge of repairing, replacing and refurbishing windows, we are able to offer impartial advice to other professionals – from property or building maintenance personnel to local authorities, architects, surveyors or contractors. In addition, we have worked on many projects with National Heritage.

What is your core business?

We supply and fit domestic steel windows and doors. The construction is as follows:-

F series – for heritage works

W20 – For FENSA and internal door screens

How long has the company been a member of the Steel Window Association? And why?

From the start of the organisation, we believe that steel window companies are stronger together than working apart.

Pictured is stunning example of the company’s work; Portobello Farm, a homes and garden emporium offering eclectic products, where The Cotswold Casement Company installed industrial style W20 doors for an impressive finish.

How long has your oldest member of staff been working at Cotswold Casements? What makes an employee want to stay with the company?
