Domestic Internal Applications

SWA members manufacture a selection of bespoke internal steel doors and screens which can be used as stylish focal points in your home. Due to steels inherent strength and remarkable flexibility, it is the ideal material for an internal screen because it will last for a long time and can be fabricated into any design.

Internal steel screens are generally made from W20 sections and can be manufactured in a variety of opening systems and styles. As the door screens are for internal use there is no requirement for weather proofing and so manufacturers can be more adventurous in the type of door opening that they can offer. SWA members can offer hinged, sliding and pivot doors.

There is a wide variety of ironmongery options available for the doors which include different colour, finish and styles.

Hot rolled steel profiles from the W20 range have been tested and assessed to British Standard BS 476 Pt 22 enabling us to offer fire resistant glazed doors and fixed light screens which will maintain their integrity in a typical fire for 30 minutes. A number of door handles and glass types are available.
